But also the contradictory supposedly-reassuring message that such nails that stick out get consumed by the rolling normality of the system continuing as it always has done (hence the hero dies). If this is perhaps true it would fit in with your observations that people find the status quo lamentable, but behave as if defeated by it automatically.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
